Our Commitment

ZERN is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure our website is accessible to all users.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

"Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We continue to identify and fix remaining accessibility issues as part of ongoing maintenance.

  • Manual pause/play controls for background animations
  • Reduced opacity fallback for users who prefer less motion

  • All interactive elements are keyboard accessible
  • Visible focus indicators on all focusable elements
  • Skip to main content link for faster navigation
  • Logical tab order throughout the website

Screen Reader Support

  • Proper ARIA labels on all interactive components
  • Semantic HTML structure with proper landmarks
  • Alternative text for all meaningful visual elements
  • Canvas elements have descriptive ARIA labels

Visual Design

  • Enhanced focus indicators that are never obscured by other content
  • Touch targets meet 44×44 pixel minimum on mobile devices
  • Interactive elements meet 24×24 pixel minimum size

Known Issues

We are actively working to address the following known issues:

  • Color Contrast: Currently undergoing manual audit to ensure all text meets 4.5:1 contrast ratio requirement
  • Third-party Content: Some embedded content from third parties may not be fully accessible. We are working with vendors to improve this
  • Legacy Content: Older portfolio items may not meet current accessibility standards and are being progressively updated
